SANTUS™ comes with a one year manufacturer's warranty in countries where it is officially sold and supported.
The shell is made mostly of Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is the same material used in the world's most famous toy building blocks for children. It is very safe.
Yes. It requires power to cycle air inside the bottle to remove oxygen. However, once cycling is complete, your wine will remain fresh even if the machine is unpowered.
We have done it for you. The SANTUS chiller unit is configured at 7°C (50°F), for optimum enjoyment. Exacting connoisseurs may pour a glass to let it breathe and unfurl to 17°C - 18°C (64.4°F).
The SANTUS uses a preserver module that is rated to protect 5 bottles. Our assumption is that each bottle has 50% volume left when installed. Since real world usage is unpredictable, there may still be excess oxygen absorber after the 5th bottle (not recommended of course).
Absolutely! SANTUS™ is designed for easy and safe removal.
The preserver contains an iron-based oxygen-absorbing material developed in Japan. By cycling the air in the bottle through the preserver module, oxygen is removed from your bottle.
The LED display of the machine will notify you when the preserver module is approaching end-of-life and ready to be replaced.
The SANTUS Andante is currently available in: China, Singapore, France.
